Black Tuesday

Jacket-Glassons. Bag- Zara. Shorts- Urban Outfitters. Sunglasses- Urban Outfitters. Boots- ASOS
Hello Everyone,

Its now officially summer here in Melbourne so naturally i'm wearing all black. I find I have to take the transition through to summer/colour in small steps, black is my safe place! BUT In the interests of making things a little more innovative i've gone for a couple of different black textures and some blue holographic with this outfit.

I'm heading back to Scotland in a weeks time for some Christmas celebrations so the summer posts are going to be pretty shorted lived unfortunately! Although I cant wait to go back and see my family and friends for some wintery and festive times in the Scottish countryside.

Hope you've all had a nice December so far.

New house

Jacket- H&M. Dress- Topshop. Clutch- Topshop. Sunglasses- ASOS.
Hello from my new apartment!

Firstly, I want to say sorry for my crappiness recently- its been a stressful old time over here with moving house, getting sick and a whole lot of other things going on in my life!! But enough with the excuses!

I'm going to make it up to you all in the next few weeks by showering you with an abundance of items old and new that I haven't had the chance to blog yet.

First up is this slightly drop hemmed aztec/tribal shirt dress number which Ive been wearing quite a bit already this Spring/Summer (apologies to everyone in the UK experiencing the Winter weather already, I feel your pain)

Its great for wearing on its own, layered with a jacket and even over jeans as a sort of tunic piece. I love a dress with so many styling options because I rarely wear them on their own.

A short but sweet post for you guys today but keep your eyes peeled for more soon.

Have a good weekend everyone :)

Tuesday, 17 September 2013

Hey guys,

Hope you all had a good weekend :). Im still trying to get used to this short hair situation and testing out different ways to style it but I'm slowly coming around to the idea- its definitely less maintenance and it feels a lot healthier now which is always a bonus.

Ive already shown you my acid wash mom jeans in an earlier post, but because they were so perfect when I tried them on, of course i had to buy them in grey too!  I could happily ditch low rides for these beauties because they are so damn comfy and I love the retro feel to them (I may have also bought them in one more colour- I have mom jeans problems).

These shoes were another love at first sight situation, you know when you feel like you just cant leave the shop without them because it will be a life long regret?! Maybe slightly dramatic but thats what shoes can do to me.

I'm very very glad that we're coming into Spring in Melbourne at the moment, firstly because everyone loves a sunny day and secondly because the lighter evenings mean I can come home from work and get some blog photos- yaaay. The weather has been a little restricting lately so hopefully this will all change soon :)

Happy Tuesday!

Ombre Fur

Dress- Topshop. Coat- Dakota501. Shoes- Topshop- Bag- Ebay
 Hey Everyone,

Ive been meaning to show you this ombre fur coat for a little while now, I actually instagramed it a few weeks ago but hadn't gotten round to blogging it properly yet! I fell in love with it as soon as i saw it and knew it needed to be the next addition to my Winter wardrobe before it was too late!

Im also loving this burgundy dip hemmed midi dress from Topshop it's been a favourite of mine recently while i've been in my winter/spring land of limbo!

I hope you've all been having a great couple of last weeks of summer back in the UK and all my Aussie friends I hope you're all gearing up for a great Spring & Summer! The weather in Melbourne on Sunday was the perfect introduction for whats to come :)

Jumper- Zara. Gillet- Topshop. Skort- Zara. Bag- Ebay. Shoes- Zara. Hat- Sportsgirl
 Hey everyone,

Im feeling a little in weather limbo at the moment here in Melbourne, we're in that awkward transition stage where its too warm to dress for winter but too cold to be in spring gear! And its round about this point where im sick to death of my winter wardbrode and want so many new things which is VERY dangerous for my bank balance! Eeeek.

Im also pleased to announce the arrival of my new Zara boots which I have been trying to track down for a few weeks now. Imagine my delighted little face when I walk into Zara on pay day weekend to see these little beauties sitting on the shelf in my size!

I decided to give my hair a little DIY makeover too! I was getting really fed up with my long hair and the maintenance that comes with it so hacked it off in a moment of spontaneity! Naturally i regretted it two days later ! But is aaall good, its feeling a lot healthier and i've talked myself into liking it by saying i've been kind to my hair in letting it grow in healthily. What do you guys think?! Maybe i'm just not used to the change!

Hope you've all been having a good week!

Jumper- The Lost Lanes. Skort- Zara. Shoes- Zara. Bag- Ebay
Hello everyone,

Sorry for the lack of communications from Australia so far! Its been a little bit of a hectic time settling into my new job plus I also had some camera drama again- no fun. BUT dont stress I have things to show you and fashions to share so KEEP YOU PEEKERS PEALED.

I thought id share this little outfit from Scotland a few weeks back in the meantime because im getting nostalgic and missing the UK while it rains in Melbourne. Every time ive tried to get new blog posts for you all recently its either rained or been windy on me. BUT im gonna try again this weekend so you can see what ive been channeling on of late.

Hopefully this weekend will bring perfect weather conditions and joy to us all!

Happy Friday everyone :)

Acid Wash

T-shirt- Zara. Jeans- Topshop. Belt- Vintage. Shoes- Topshop. Bag- Moschino. Sungasses- Zara.
Hey guys,

Sorry for the little delay in posts this week. its been a really busy week getting settled into my new job! But Im absolutely loving it so far and learning so much already :).

Today I'm channeling my inner Kelly Kapowski in this 70's inspired outfit. I love these acid wash mum jeans, they are the best fit in the world and I've been living in them the past few weeks (I may have also bought them in grey too).

I also bought these sandals from Topshop in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago for $100 only to find that they were on sale in the UK for £25!! Let's pretend we didnt discover that... Australian prices are crazy, you pay twice as much for everything just because.

I have some e-mails I still ned to reply to so im really sorry If you havent heard from me yet, im not being rude just busy!!! I will get back on track this weekend :)

Top- c/o Missguided. Harem shorts- Zara. Shoes- Topshop. Bag- ebay. Sunglasses. Zara.
Hello Everyone,

Its been a pretty busy time with me recently, lots of exciting things happening AND I now officially have a new job. I am now an Account Executive at a creative agency called Paper Stone Scissors which i'm so excited about!

They specialise in advertising campaigns and have a number of amazing fashion brands on board and have most recently won a campaign with Dulux.

When it came down to it, I had to make a choice between Paper Stone Scissors and a role based at a fashion company's head office but I think I definitely made the right choice. I love the idea of working with numerous brands in such an amazing creative space and advertising is something Im really passionate about.

Now onto clothes ! Im absolutely loving this mesh cut out jumper from Missguided. I love wearing it on is own or layered with anything fluro underneath. Missguided have some great cut out pieces at the moment, I also ended picking out a black cut out jumpsuit.

These hareems are another favourite of mine, they look amazing dressed up or down and are super comfy! And these shoes and sunnies... I think you're going to be seeing a lot more of them- they are a daily staple for me right now :)

Hope you all had a good weekend.

Jumper- Zara. Trousers- Zara. Hat- RiverIsland. Shoes- Zara. Bag-Zara.

 Hey Everyone,

Im so glad to be back blogging again after a two week stint offline (AHH) . I decided to take some time off to get settled back into Melbourne life and back onto the job hunt with full force! I've had some exciting meetings with some great companies these past two weeks which is very exciting.

I get a lot of questions from readers about my Uni course/employment aspirations so I want to keep you guys up to date with in the upcoming weeks with my ventures in the fashion/marketing industry in Melbourne and any advice i can give to you all as I seek new opportunities :).

For those of you that don't know, I studied Fashion Management at Robert Gordon's University in Aberdeen. It was such an amazing course with loads of great modules and projects which I feel have set me up with some great experiences and knowledge for a career in fashion.

If you have any questions or queries about the course or just want a little bit of advice, feel free to send me and email and i'll be happy to give some guidance!

I hope you've all been having an amazing week so far and I cant wait to show you guys some more outfits from over here n Melbourne!

Bye Scotland

Dress- ZARA. Necklace- H&M. Bag- Ebay. Hat- RiverIsland. Shoes- ZARA.

Hey Guys,

So this is going to be my last post from Scotland for a little while, I cant believe im trading in this beautiful summer weather for a cold winter in Melbourne! I'm swapping the sandals and sunnies for snoods and boots and Im not quite sure how I feel about this at the moment... It requires a complete wardrobe overhaul.

Ive been wearing these sandals just about everyday since I got them. They're not the comfiest of shoes because the sole is pretty heavy so ive been getting a little bruising over the top of my foot but I still cant help but wear them! I also needed to get the wear out of this pretty little mini jumper dress from Zara, its such a cute fit and I love the texture and print so its going to be sad to send it to the back of my wardrobe for a few months.

I fly tomorrow evening so im going to try and cram in some more summery snaps for you guys before I jet off :)

Hope you've all been soaking up the sun and making the most of the weather too.

Shirt- ZARA. Jeans- Topshop. Bag- Ebay, Shoes- ZARA.
Hey Guys,

Today I decided to chuck on all things comfy which also happen to be a collection of some of my favourite pieces at the moment too. After a very busy and fun filled weekend in Edinburgh with my sisters I needed some chilled out comfy clothes to start the week. It was really sad to say bye to my oldest sister but we had such a fun weekend shopping, eating, drinking cocktails and harassing a man and his Rickshaw. Poor guy had to cart three tipsy/indecisive/ singing sisters around the hills a dips of Edinburgh for a good 15 minutes until we decided to just get food and go home!

This week Im mostly getting organised for the big move back to Australia in a weeks time! There are so many things to sort out before I leave -my mind is in overdrive. Packing a winter wardrobe is also a little challenging on a one suitcase limit. AAAHH. I have no idea how i'm going to work around this?!

Hope you've all had a good weekend too :)

Cap- H&M. Jumper- Zara. Necklace- Topshop. Skort- Zara. Shoes- Zara. Bag- Zara.

Hey Guys,

Im wearing an awful lot of Zara today but it just cant be helped because they have so many nice things at the moment! I absolutely love this retro style jumper, its got such a unique print and will be amazing for when I head back to winter in Melbourne in just over a weeks time!

Im really excited to be heading back at the same time its going to be a shock going back over to dark nights and cold weather! No skirts and sandals for me for a few months :( . Im trying to stock up on some winter wardrobe staples but its proving very difficult while all the shops are in full swing summer mode at the moment!

Hope you've all been having a good week. Im off to beautiful Edinburgh this weekend to spend some time with my sisters before I head off, I cant wait :)

The Lost Lanes

Jacket- H&M. Jumper- TheLostLanes. Jeans- AllSaints. Bag- TheCambridgeSatchelCompany. Flatforms- Zara. Sunglasses- Topshop
Hey Everyone,

How cool is this Jumper from The Lost Lanes? Im obsessed with their quirky jumpers and t-shirts at the moment and love that they are all made by independent designers in the UK. I absolutely hate the feeling of owning something that I feel like is mass produced and crops up everywhere, but the designs at The Lost Lanes feel original and unique which I love.

Im also loving these white rimmed round framed sunnies from Topshop and these Zara flatforms that I found in the sale! Woohoo for sale times. I know what a nightmare it is to track down items from Zara sometimes so Ive featured a few similar items in my shop the look link below :)

Happy Tuesday!

Kimono- c/o Oh My Love. Top- Zara. Shorts- Zara. Bag- Ripcurl. Boots- Topshop. Necklace- H&M

Im living in this Kimono from Oh My Love at the moment, I find myself throwing it on over everything and anything. I love the kaleidoscope pattern and the lightweight fabric, its perfect for festivals, BBQ's and basically anything to do with summer.

Im flying back to Melbourne in three weeks time straight into winter and I cant believe how quickly it has come round! Im really going to miss the green and leafy scenery of Scotland. I think im going to have to hunt out some better backdrops than my boring balcony when im back in Aus but first I'm going to have to over come my fear of people and the possibility of bumping into any members of the public while im out shooting my looks. Eeeeeeeek.

July Wishlist

Cap- Topshop. Sunglasses- ASOS. Jumper- TheLostLanes. Rucksack- Dune. Boots- Topshop Shorts- Urban Outfitters

I'm in love with the selection of retro graphic prints jumpers that they have over at The Lost Lanes. They have some really cool t-shirts, jumpers and accessories which are all made and designed by independent designers in the UK which is even better! Everything is all really reasonably priced and totally different from anything on the high street so if you havent already you should check out their website here.

This Rucksack and these shoes are also very high up on my wishlist- love them!
